  • Where do I get WorkStrip ?

    You can download the latest version of WorkStrip from our downloads page.


  • How do I install WorkStrip ?

    First insert the CD from your WorkStrip box, or mount the disk image that you downloaded, and then drag the WorkStrip icon into your applications folder. There is no installer for WorkStrip. WorkStrip is a 'packaged' application, and everything WorkStrip needs is in the one icon.


  • What's new in WorkStrip v3.0 ?

    The read me document on the disk image contains a comprehensive list of new features and bug fixes. Download the latest version for up to date information.


  • Why do I get a privileges error when I install WorkStrip ?

    Privilege messages can occur because (a) you have the existing version of WorkStrip running, or (b) you do not have the privileges needed to modify the applications folder. If WorkStrip and try the install again. If you do not have the required privileges, you should log in as a user who does.


  • Can I get a printed manual?

    We do not have a manual for WorkStrip, but you can download a PDF document compiled from all the help pages from here.


  • How do I remove the Mac OS X Dock?

    The Dock is an integral part of Mac OS X and cannot be removed. A new feature in WorkStrip 3.1 is the ability to 'Keep Dock Hidden Whilst WorkStrip Is Running'. Setting this preferences turns on Dock Hiding and positions the Dock at the top of your screen so that it will only appear if you move the mouse to the centre of the screen, just below the menu bar.

  • I have purchased a WorkStrip license, what now ?

    You need to enter the Activation Key and Confirmation ID into WorkStrip. Click on the tab behind the WorkStrip item on the strip. This will expand the panel. Once the panel is in view, click on the 'License Validation' tab at the top of the panel. In the now exposed tab, you will see two boxes. Enter the codes from your license confirmation document into these boxes.

    When you have entered the codes correctly, the 'Validate' button will be enabled. Click on this button to finish the process.

    If the validate button remains disabled, check that you have entered the information accurately. The activation key will only contain the digits 0 through 9 and the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, and T & X.

    WorkStrip activation keys do not contain the letters I, O or S. Take care not to confuse the letter B with the digit 8.

    Also, make sure you enter the correct code in each box.

  • How can I find out what version of WorkStrip I have ?

    If WorkStrip is running, open the WorkStrip panel by clicking on the tab behind the WorkStrip icon. Select the 'About WorkStrip' tab and the version information can be seen in the lower left corner of the tab.

    If WorkStrip is not running, select the icon for WorkStrip in the Finder and choose 'Get Info' from the 'File' menu.
